Conductive Thread & Textiles
This is a conductive knit fabric for use in e-textiles. It is silver-plated nylon that is stretchy in one direction. It is highly conductive with a surface resistivity of < 1 ohm/sq. This is a great add-on to any LilyPad project. Medtex 180 Ag Nylon single directional stretch. It is a bit thicker than the Medtex 130.Lue lisää...
This is 60 feet (18 m) of conductive thread spun from stainless steel fiber and wound on a plastic bobbin. Use it to sew up all of your e-textile projects. This small bobbin is a great way to get into wearable electronics without the upfront cost of buying an entire spool of thread. 60 feet of thread is enough to get a simple design stitched onto your shirt, backpack or hat.Lue lisää...
While this may look like a bad toupee it's actually an ounce (30 g) of fine conductive fiber. For a pure metal fiber it's incredibly soft and can be blended with other fibers and spun into thread or yarn, embedded into composite materials or even felted!Lue lisää...
This solid stainless-steel conductive fiber is super interesting! It's great for felting and could also be spun into yarn if that's your thing. We tested many different fiber thicknesses for needle felting and found that this one (20um fiber thickness, 316L steel, straight fiber) is the most pleasurable to work with. Use about 0.2g of the stuff to make a felt touch button suitable for use with the MaKey MaKey or capacitive touch sensing circuit. Make felt controllers or felt buttons onto an existing wool sweater!Lue lisää...
After months of searching, we finally have what we consider to be the ultimate conductive thread. It's thin, strong, smooth, and made completely of 316L stainless steel. Once you start working with this thread you'll quickly agree its optimal for any wearables work!Lue lisää...
This conductive material (also known as "Velostat" or "Linqstat") is a nice addition for your wearable/sensor hacking toolkit. It's pressure-sensitive: squeezing it will reduce the resistance, so it's handy for making flexible sensors.Lue lisää...
