A small, but very mighty power supply. This board was designed to be as small and inconspicuous as possible. The nice thing about LiPower is the ability to use rechargable Lithium Polymer batteries. These batteries are smaller, flatter, and last much longer than a AAA battery. Attach a single cell LiPo battery, flip the power switch, and you will have a 5V supply to power your LilyPad network. Good up to 150mA. Short circuit protected.

This is the new Arduino Uno R3. In addition to all the features of the previous board, the Uno now uses an ATmega16U2 instead of the 8U2 found on the Uno (or the FTDI found on previous generations). This allows for faster transfer rates and more memory. No drivers needed for Linux or Mac (inf file for Windows is needed and included in the Arduino IDE), and the ability to have the Uno show up as a keyboard, mouse, joystick, etc.

Conductive thread is a creative way to connect various electronics onto clothing. This thread can carry current for power and signals. The extra thick thread has an extremely low resistance of about 1.4 Ohms per linear foot and weighs about 0.93 ounces for the full 50 feet.

The Wireless SD shield allows an Arduino board to communicate wirelessly using a wireless module. It is based on the Xbee modules from Digi, but can use any module with the same footprint. Included on board is a SD card slot.

The Arduino UNO board included with the kit is the latest Arduino UNO (R3) version and NOT the SMD version. The picture still shows the old kit.

If the Starter Kit seems too basic for your needs, you might want to consider the Sparkfun Inventor's kit. This is the 'retail' version of the SparkFun Inventor's Kit (SIK). This version comes with the carrying case seen in the pictures.

The Arduino ADK is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega2560 (datasheet). It has a USB host interface to connect with Android based phones.

The Arduino Ethernet is a microcontroller board based on the Arduino Uno, and incorporating a WizNet W5100 TCP/IP Embedded Ethernet Controller. It can be programmed like an Uno via a six-pin FTDI -style serial connector. Please note! You need the Arduino USB-to-Serial adapter or any FTDI-style USB-to-serial connector to program it.

A separate power-over-Ethernet (PoE) module is soldered to the board to provide power from a conventional twisted pair Category 5 Ethernet cable. It is IEEE802.3af compliant, and works with all compliant PoE injectors currently available.

The Ag9120-S is a module designed to extract power from a conventional twisted pair Category 5 Ethernet cable, conforming to the IEEE 802.3af Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) standard.

What it means, is that you can power your board (Ethernet Shield, Arduino Ethernet) with cat5-cable.

The Ethernet Pro is an Arduino-sized, shield-compatible microcontroller with all of the functionality of the Ethernet shield built right in!
